Dress Regulations

Members and visitors are expected to dress in a manner that will uphold the dignity of the Club.

It is the responsibility of all members to ensure that their guests comply with requirements.

The requirement is that members, their guests and all visitors must be smartly, neatly and cleanly dressed at all times.  The use of facilities and service will be refused to those not adhering to the spirit of this requirement. 

The General Manager, Bar Staff, Club Professional and elected members of the Board or Sub-Committees have authority to interpret requirements.  The Board may direct or restrict dress requirements for certain times, places or special events.

Styles of clothing sold in the Riverside Golf Club Pro Shop, with approval of Club Management, are acceptable for wear on the course.

UNACCEPTABLE clothing on the COURSE 

Denim (Players and Caddies)  

All items in list below. Note: The “COURSE” includes practice net area, putting green area and the practice fairway & chipping green

UNACCEPTABLE clothing [COURSE & CLUBHOUSE] includes:  

Crew neck and V-neck T-shirts.  

Clothing with a slogan or motif larger than pocket size.  

Caps, hats and visors, designed for outside wear, in the lounge and dining areas of the Clubhouse. 

Singlets, sun tops, track suits, short (football, tennis & swimmer) style shorts, boxer shorts or clothing made of lycra or similar tight fitting material.  

Long socks with stripes or bands of colour or football style.  Short socks unless they are white or predominantly white with  discreet coloured bands or a small logo

UNACCEPTABLE footwear includes:  

Golf shoes in the Clubhouse entrance foyer, lounge and dining areas.  

Golf shoes with metal or ceramic spikes.  

Thongs of any style.  

Any type of shoe or boot with a raised heel or ripple on the course.
